I am a New Zealander who has lived and worked at the New International School of Thailand before coming to VSA. I have taught Music over the past 12 years and play the violoncello and piano. I will be teaching MYP and Diploma Music.
MYP Music is assessed on the following 4 main criteria:
(1) Knowledge and Understanding
(2) Application
(3) Reflection and Evaluation
(4) Personal Engagement.
These criteria guide students to explore, research, rehearse and evaluate critically how music affects them and the way they individually respond to its influence.
Diploma Music allows students the opportunity to create, perform, research and evaluate through analyzing music and using perceptive listening skills to describe music in detail.
